Chynna Sherrod appeared on Thursday night's tryout episode, auditioning in Atlanta for the popular talent/reality show.

After getting the nod from all three judges to move forward, Sherrod posted a thank you note on Instagram.

"One of the best moments of my life. Thank you to @americanidol for making it possible and thank you to @jlo @keithurban and @harryconnickjr for appreciating my gift. But most of all, thanks to everyone that watched and tweeted and texted...it means more than you know. #americanidol #farewellseason #litty."

The next episode of the show's final season — its 15th — will air at 8 p.m. next Thursday on FOX.

According to Fox 61, Sherrod Chynna sang "One Last Time" by Arianna Grande. She also joked about the Nutmeg State with judge Harry Connick Jr., who lives in New Canaan, calling on him to "represent."

"How do you represent Connecticut?" Connick said, according to FOX. "It's like, 'I'm from Connecticut, get down and vote with me. Play like you live, and here's my mansion with a tennis court and a pool.'"

"Connecticut's great," Chynna said while laughing, according to FOX.
