Check Out New Year Of Girl Scouting At Stamford Open House

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Is your Girl Scout ready to start the new year of schooling and Scouting? Girl Scouts of Connecticut will hold a kickoff event for the 2013-14 year on Sunday in Stamford.

The event will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Harbor Point Cafeteria, 2200 Atlantic St., Stamford. Parking is at Atlantic Street and Washington Boulevard, one block from the entrance.

This is the place to see what’s new for the 2013-14 Girl Scout year. The open-house format is an opportunity for leaders as well as Girl Scouts and their families to see what's new and upcoming for the new year. You may arrive and leave at your convenience but one hour is suggested to visit all the displays.

In previous years this was an event for troop leaders, but it is open to all Girl Scouts and their families this year.
