Tickets are sold out for Saturday’s benefit at the Gaelic-American Club, but supporters can still make donations to help 1-year-old Cameron “Cam” Simpson and his family find a cure for Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood or AHC.

The disorder is characterized by recurrent attacks of temporary paralysis, stiffness and unusual eye movements. There is currently no cure.

Earlier this year, 11 CrossFit gyms across Fairfield County went to bat for Simpson, raising more than $10,000 for the family’s cause.

This weekend’s benefit will also feature The Levinson Brothers, a Fairfield acoustic duo showcasing Dylan and Connor Levinson and American Music Award winner Ian McHugh.

“We are immensely honored to have such fantastic support from Javier, April and The Levinson Brothers,” said McHugh, who is a family cousin. “This is an amazing local musical lineup and we’re so proud to be hosting these acts to support Cam and his parents.

A Cure For Cam is a nonprofit team that is raising money for finding a cure for AHC and for supporting Cameron Simpson as he grows up with the disease.
