DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien Chamber of Commerce held its ninth annual Wine Tasting and Charity Auction at BMW of Darien recently.
The event raised funds for The Depot Youth Center, YWCA Darien/Norwalk and the Darien Chamber of Commerce.
Key contributors to the success of the event were Tim Smith from WinePort (and his six vendors) and Paula Callari from BMW & Callari Auto Group and their employees for providing a fabulous venue and wine for the evening.
Sponsors who provided delicacies were Atria of Darien, Darien Social, Palmer's Fine Foods & Catering, Rory's Restaurant, Sails American Grill, Ten Twenty Post-Oyster Bar & Bistro, and Whole Foods Market.
Sponsors and Elite Members included: Darien Rowayton Bank, Tibbettts, Keating & Butler, EPOD, People's United Bank, Rucci Law Group, Neil Hauck Architects, Tibbetts, Keating & Butler and The Darien Times.
There were nearly 200 guests. Committee members were Susan Hamill, Mindi Miller, Barbara Paul, David Rosenberg, Toni Sabia, Cathleen Stack, Jolanda Sutherland and Patti Stuebe. Kaye Leong was chairman of the Wine Tasting and Charity Auction committee.
Master of ceremonies John Lundeen and Music Mixer Kunjan entertained the guests. Volunteers from The Depot, the YWCA Darien/Norwak and The Darien Chamber of Commerce Board also supported the event, along with people who donated more than 90 auction items.
