DARIEN, Conn. — The Darien Library will host a series of biweekly writing workshops for aspiring playwrights starting next week.
The group will meet at 7 p.m. starting Sept. 9 in the library’s writer’s room. The workshop is open to both experienced writers with works in progress as well as new writers wanting to explore the basic skills of the playwright.
There is neither a fee nor a submission requirement to participate in the program, but enrollment will be limited to eight participants.
The workshop will be lead by local actor/playwright Nicholas Troilo. Troilo has studied at HB Studio with award-winning playwright Julie McFee, as well as Tony Award-winning director Jack Hofsiss, whose short play "The Chapel Street Café" was performed at the library last year.
