Darien Tree Conservancy Brightens Spot Near Highway With Plantings

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Tree Conservancy of Darien recently completed its two-day installation of 11 cherry trees and two magnolia trees along Ledge Road near Exit 10 of Interstate 95.

In keeping with the philosophy "Plant them high and they will reach the sky, sink them low and they won’t grow," Tree Conservancy of Darien said in a statement it takes care to plant the trees at a proper depth.

The local nonprofit, established to preserve and enhance wooded resources in town, works to raise awareness of the value of trees in the community.
