Kraft was honored for not only his service in Vietnam but also for his work in helping to support veterans and veteran affairs in the area.
Kraft is the CEO of the National Veterans Services Fund and served on the Agent Orange Commission. For the past 10 years he has been an instructor of veterans benefits for the UAW annual conference.
He worked to improve the grounds at Spring Grove Cemetery . Spring Grove is the oldest veterans cemetery in Connecticut and is the final resting place of more than 1,500 veterans.
