Darien Winter Club Hits The Ice To Raise $6,500 For Person-To-Person

DARIEN, Conn. – In one hour and 20 minutes of play, in a friendly competition that provided a chance to play hockey in the off season while benefiting Person-to- Person, the Darien Winter Club raised more than $6,500 in the 11th Annual ‘Darien Winter Club Charity Skate’ at the Terry Conners Ice Rink in Stamford.

P2P has been the designated charity for this fundraising event since 2006.

With this year’s event, the 11-year fundraising total is more than $68,000.

This event is organized annually by John Shaker, a former P2P board member and a longtime donor and supporter of the agency.

The Terry Connors Ice Rink donated the ice time, so that 100 percent of the donations from the players – and others – will benefit Person-to- Person.
