Darien's Hackers For Hope Celebrates 25th Anniversary

DARIEN, Conn. -- Hackers For Hope, which has raised more than $11 million toward cancer research and treatment programs, will hold its 25th annual golf outing at Wee Burn Country Club on Sept. 20.

Since its inception, Hackers For Hope has contributed to institutions such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Bennett Cancer Center, New York Weill Cornell Medical Center, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

This years’ golfers include local residents Jim Book, John Fichthorn, Pete Graham, Craig Jeffers, Jim Kellogg, Whitney Lancaster, Kevin Minicus, Chris O’Connor, Tom Richardson, Foster Smith, Jeff Stute, Tara Tokonitz, Sue Weaver, Taymore Zarghami and Meredith Zengo.

Tickets are available at $175 each for the live auction that will take place after the day's golfing.

Auction highlights include items such as vacation homes in Park City, Utah, Costa Rica and Fishers Island; private dinners at Raos in New York City; a Giants Football package and tickets to "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" and "Saturday Night Live."
