Darien's Person-To-Person Wins Four-Star Award

DARIEN, Conn. – Darien's Person-to-Person has been awarded a four-star rating by the independent evaluator Charity Navigator for its fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency.

Charity Navigator is the largest evaluator of nonprofits in America, highlighting charities for being efficient, ethical and open. The four-star rating is the highest recognition it bestows to an organization.

“Approximately a quarter of the charities we evaluate have received our highest rating, indicating that Person-to-Person outperforms most other charities in America," said Ken Berger, president and CEO of Charity Navigator. "This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Person-to-Person from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

“Person-to-Person is excited to receive the 4-star rating from Charity Navigator," said Ceci Maher, executive director of Person-to-Person. "We work hard to insure that we use the best practices of service provision, management and fiscal accountability. P2P strives to be transparent with donors, volunteers, and clients. It is rewarding to be recognized as a high performing nonprofit.”
