The event will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11 at Jimmy Southside Tavern, 340 Heights Road, Darien.

The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to nurturing, healing and loving interactions in memory of Lewis’ nephew, Jesse, one of the first-grade students killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.

"We are thrilled that Doug, a longtime family friend and outstanding musician, offered to join us," said Scarlett Lewis, Jesse's mother.

Scarlett and her son, JT, reside on a farm in Sandy Hook. While living in Darien, Lewis performed in The Well, a local band, and Allen also performed solo locally. Lewis currently lives in Norwalk and owns Barefoot & Chocolate.

A professional singer and songwriter, Allen will debut a song he specifically wrote in honor of Jesse called, "Choose Love." He will perform from 6-7:30 p.m. The Well will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Fundraiser also includes a raffle with drinks and food, as well as inspirational commentary by Jesse’s mother, the author of “Nurturing, Healing Love.”

All donations are welcome at the door.
