DARIEN, Conn. — Hundreds of cars jammed West Avenue throughout the day Sunday. The hottest destination in town — on a rainy day — was the Darien Boys Scouts 44th annual Giant Tag Sale at the Andrew Memorial Scout Cabin.
Visitors had to park blocks away and hike to get to the Giant Tag Sale, which featured thousands of items, including furniture, lawnmowers, snow blowers, grills, garden tools, strollers, bikes, toys and games, sporting goods, electronics, books, linens, lamps, rugs, art and collectibles, housewares, and more.
The tag sale is the primary fundraiser for the Andrew Shaw Memorial Trust, which sponsors the Darien Boy Scout and Cub Scout programs, now entering their second century.
