Italian Chef in Darien is the Real Deal

If there is a genetic marker for cooking fine food, Chef Piergiorgio Nanni of The Goose American Bistro and Bar in Darien might have it. The Rome born chef's family hails from Abruzzi, a section of Italy known for creating some of the best chefs in the world. Two of his uncles operated successful eateries in the old country.

After a graduating from prestigious schools in Europe and working at some of the word's top-rated restaurants, Nanni came to the United States in the 1990s. He brought with him a desire to cook Italian food the way it was prepared when he was a kid. Now, he is celebrating a year at his newest endeavor in Darien.
