Gifford and Kotb will serve as the honorary co-chairs for the month-long campaign that spreads awareness about the importance of screening and early detection for breast cancer.

Kotb, a journalist and breast-cancer survivor who underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, has become an advocate for breast-cancer awareness. Gifford, of Greenwich, is a television host, singer, songwriter and actress.

With an awareness-themed event scheduled just about every day throughout October – including a girl's night out, a beer garden, a golf outing and a wine tasting, the Paint the Town Pink campaign’s calendar is available online.
