Bonfils, a Darien artist who uses what Van Gogh called the “language of nature” in her artwork, is donating her limited edition photograph “Pear Tree Views” to the silent auction of the second annual “Celebration of Trees” photo contest reception.
She works in Connecticut and New Mexico.
"Nature is a big part of her life, and she has a true appreciation for the exceptional trees and birds in Darien," a press release said.
Bonfils said her affection for the trees and wildlife near Gorham’s Pond comes from her daily walks to Pear Tree Beach over the past 16 years.
“I am a big fan of the conservancy and preserving our natural beauty,” she said.
Tree Conservancy of Darien was established to preserve and enhance wooded resources works to raise awareness of the value of trees in the community.
