The event raises critical funds to support innovative young scientists through the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. It is sponsored by William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance and the William Raveis Charitable Fund.
This year’s event includes 12-mile, 25-mile and 50-mile rides, a 5K walk and a children’s 100-yard dash.
Participants and fans will also enjoy food, music and guest speakers, including top researchers and cancer survivors.
First Selectmen Michael Tetreau of Fairfield and Jim Marpe of Westport will join Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling for the day of activities.
To date, Ride + Walk has raised more than $1 million for cancer research.
