Registration Opens For Darien Nature Center's Summer Programs

DARIEN, Conn. — There may still be snow on the ground, but the Darien Nature Center is already planning for summer. Registration is now open for the center's summer programs.

A new drop-off program for 2 year olds will help kids begin their discovery of nature with hikes, crafts, songs, games and visits from the center's animals. Kids must be 2 years old by May 1 and do not have to be potty trained.

Our Living Planet for kids ages 3 to 6 will have weekly themes inspired by nature. Indoor and outdoor activities will include nature hikes, games, water day, visits from animals and Friday concerts.

Planet Patrol is for kids ages 6 to 11. They will learn what it takes to survive in the wild, including what is edible in the woods and what water they can drink. They will also make kites and learn to identify creatures they see in nature.

You can register online and in person. Visit the Darien Nature Center website for program times and fees.
