Kinseley also received the Mavis Fenner Memorial Award of $250.
Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling was there to present the “Mayor’s Choice Award” to Brian Kammerer of Rowayton for his oil painting, “Winter Tide-Point of Rocks/Wee Burn Beach Club.” The inaugural award went to the mayor's personal favorite in the show.
The juror for the exhibition was Rosemary Webber, an award-winning illustrator whose work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal and The New Yorker Magazine.
“I looked for inventiveness and the unexpected” Webber said of the show.
The exhibition runs through Oct. 25. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. It is closed Mondays.
