The boat club now boasts a brand new deck and a completely rebuilt three-season room. Renovations also allowed the club to build a new office for the Darien Police Marine Unit and the Town Harbor Master.

The Darien Boat Club was established in the 1940s. It is open to all Darien residents and serves 700 member families. The club has 260 slips for boats for all sizes from 28 feet to dinghies. Other amenities include racks for kayaks, sunfish and canoes.

There is currently no waiting list for boats under 16 feet, and there is available space on the club dinghy chain. The wait list is posted online and slips are assigned based on membership seniority. There is currently a two- to three-year waiting list for moorings in the harbor depending on boat length.
