Darien Home Burglar Pleads Guilty In Exchange For Seven-Year Sentence

DARIEN, Conn. -- A Hamden man who helped his girlfriend burglarize a Darien home has pleaded guilty to burglary but had a home invasion charged dropped in return for a prison term of seven years, reported stamfordadvocate.com.

Michael Apuzzo, 26, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree burglary and a single count of first-degree burglary, the article said. In return for the pleas, Apuzzo will be sentenced July 30 to seven years in prison, followed by six years of parole, the article said.

Apuzzo's girlfriend, Alexis Jordan, 23, a former Greenwich resident, previously received an identical deal, reported stamfordadvocate.com, but she will have to spend a year longer in jail than Apuzzo.
