DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien will hold another public hearing on proposed changes on paying for parking at the town's railroad stations.
A second public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Room 206 at Darien Town Hall before the Board of Selectman.
Under the proposal, drivers would pay for parking at a pay station kiosk or via a smartphone. A payment of $5 would be good for 12 hours of parking. Daily permit use and free parking on weekends and holidays would continue.
The proposal designates the areas near the station that would be covered by the parking plan.
If approved, the changes would apply to both the Darien and Noroton Heights railroad stations.
