Zachary Hession, 21, of Darien, was arrested Saturday night after allegedly breaking into a house on Allen O'Neill Drive and getting into a fight with a resident.
Police received a call at 8 p.m. from the resident, saying that Hession, who he knew, had burglarized his house and had possibly taken prescription medication belonging to another resident.
The resident confronted Hession as the burglary was taking place. The two got into a physical altercation and Hession ran away. Police found Hession after a brief search of the area.
Hession was arrested and charged with home invasion, third-degree robbery and third-degree burglary. He sustained minor injuries during the fight, but the resident was unharmed. Hession was held on $50,000 bond.
