Darien Republicans Set Caucus Date

DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien Republican Town Committee will hold a caucus Jan. 17 for all registered Republicans to endorse candidates for the Darien RTC and to vote on an amendment to its rules. The caucus will be held at 7 p.m. at the Darien Town Hall Auditorium.

The candidates who will be proposed for endorsement are: Robert D. Bewkes Sr., John V. Boulton, Richard Allen DiDonna, Sara A. Franzese, Chris J. La Jaunie, Spencer J. McIlmurray, James Robert Palen Jr., Joseph A. Pizzarelli, John Ralph Sini Jr., Raymond D. Slavin, Ciara Perrotti Thurlow, Matthew L. Troy, Peter L. Truebner, Laurie E. Williamson, Jennifer A. Montanero, Seth W. Morton, Danielle Lamm Granath, Richard G. Kelly, William Joseph Ferguson, Nanci R. Natale and Douglas J. McKay.

Other candidates may be nominated by submitting a petition to the chairman or the secretary of the committee at least five days before the caucus. The petition should include a declaration of candidacy, which consists of the candidate’s name as it appears on the town of Darien’s list of registered voters, the title of the office being sought and the signatures of 25 registered Republican electors of Darien. No nominations will be allowed from the floor of the caucus.

Petitions must be submitted on or before Wednesday, Jan. 11, to Darien RTC Chair Bob Bewkes, 1 Wheat Lane, Darien, or to Secretary Laurie Williamson, 2 Tinywood Road, Darien.
