Darien Schools Delayed; 1,000 Power Outages

DARIEN, Conn. — Darien schools are delayed 90 minutes due to closed roads and power outages in town. 

At 6 a.m., Connecticut Light & Power reported 1041 customers without power, which is 13 percent of the town. 

Gusty winds could continue through Thursday, with a potential for gusts over 50 mph. A wind advisory remains in effect, the National Weather Service says.
