DARIEN, Conn. Ryan MacDonald, 19, was arrested July 5 on drunken-driving charges in an accident in March on Brookside Road . Early in the morning of March 12, MacDonald drove his SUV off the road, hitting a utility pole and a stone wall before crashing against trees on private property.
When police arrived, he was still in his car and they detected the strong odor of alcohol. He was transported to Stamford Hospital, after which police issued a warrant for his medical records.
His records showed he was well above the legal limit. In addition, his car's event data recorder showed that he was driving 70 mph before the airbags deployed. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he turned himself in. He was charged with driving under the influence, reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to drive right. He posted $250 bond and will go to court July 18.

Jason Enters , 30, of Noroton Avenue, was arrested on charges of throwing a rock through a neighbor's window a year ago. In June 2010, police were called to his neighbor's house on a report of vandalism. Police said Enters' household had been feuding over the property line with the neighboring house.
The dispute escalated to the point where Enters' neighbors set up surveillance equipment. They were unable to produce video at the time of the incident. But on May 28, 2011, they came forward with video that showed Enters leaving his backdoor and running to the area where the window was smashed. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he turned himself in. He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and was released on a promise to appear in court July 20.
