Darien Y Amends Hours For Storm, Offers Services To Town

DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien YMCA will offer no programs Monday afternoon, but will be available to help residents if there are power outages.

The Y will not offer programs after 12 p.m. Monday and will close at 6 p.m. Fitness classes will still be held until closing. The Y will be closed Tuesday, with the goal to open for regular business hours and full programming on Wednesday.

Once the Y reopens on Wednesday, if there are significant power outages in town the Y's generator will allow for them to provide basic services to the community. These services include hot showers and cellphone charging.
