DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien YMCA will open earlier both during the week and on the weekends starting Tuesday.
The new hours will be 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
Starting Sept. 3, the YMCA will offer weekday and weekend fitness classes and open swim times earlier. Weekday fitness classes will begin at 5:45 a.m. and will include spin, boot camp, Pilates, yoga and TRX.
Weekend fitness classes will now begin at 7:15 a.m. Saturdays and 8:15 a.m. Sundays.
Adult open swim hours will begin at 5 a.m. weekdays, 7 a.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. Sundays.
The Darien YMCA offers memberships for its facility and provides financial assistance for memberships and programs as needed. The Y is the leading provider of special needs programs in town, houses the Darien High School gymnastics and varsity swim teams and is the only provider of after-school care in Darien.
