"Although the snow emergency has been lifted, the town’s recovery efforts are ongoing, and we encourage people not to use the roads yet," said a statement from the town. "We are hopeful that tomorrow will bring a higher level of normalcy in Greenwich."
As residents dig out, they are reminded to clear their sidewalks and plow their driveways. But do not push or throw snow into the roadways.
The Greenwich Fire Marshal asks that residents and business owners shovel out the closest fire hydrant to their home or business. Fire hydrants should remain visible and accessible during a storm to prevent delay in a fire emergency
Greenwich Point is closed at this time. The Department of Parks and Recreation will strive to reopen it as quickly as possible, the town said.
