Black Ice May Form Overnight On Roads In Darien

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Temperatures across Fairfield County were expected to fall below freezing late Sunday night and remain at those levels into Monday, possibly causing travel problems for the morning commute, the National Weather Service.

Any standing water on roadways will begin to freeze, making patchy black ice likely, especially on secondary and untreated roads as well as on bridges and overpasses. 

Motorists should be prepared for changing road conditions late Sunday and into Monday morning.
