DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien Library invites the community to attend a class that will help people discern "fake news" from real news.
The class will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. Call 203-655- 1234 to register for the event.
Librarians receive questions frequently about whether a certain website can be trusted, whether a news story is factual, and how to determine if something is a credible piece of information. Experts will tell the class how people can discern the difference.
The Darien Library presents more than 1,500 public events annually, hosting a lineup of bestselling authors, technology classes, early literacy programs, and workshops for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
