DARIEN, Conn. – Author Lee Woodruff will be launching her debut novel at the Darien Community Association on Tuesday. Woodruff will discuss and answer questions about the book, and sign copies as well.
Woodruff, who lives in Rye, is best known for her nonfiction work. Her memoir, “In An Instant: A Family’s Journey of Love and Healing,” was co-authored with her husband Bob Woodruff, an ABC News anchor who was critically injured while on assignment in Iraq.
Her first novel, “Those We Love Most,” tells the story of the Corrigan family after nine-year-old James is hit by a car while riding his bike. Woodruff draws on personal experience to tell the story of a close-knit family that is broken and made whole again in the wake of tragedy.
The event is co-sponsored by Barrett Bookstore and begins at 10 a.m. at the Darien Community Association, 274 Middlesex Road. Tickets are $5 for DCA members and $10 for nonmembers.

I like to read novels especially those featuring the family and relationships. I am excited to read this novel. Even I would also like to read her first novel that describes how a family reacted to the tragedy and reunites after the accident.
