Newtown Razes Home Of Sandy Hook Shooter Adam Lanza

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The Newtown home of Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza has been torn down, according to the News Times.

Lanza, 20, killed his mother in the white colonial home at 36 Yoganada Street on Dec. 14, 2012, before heading to Sandy Hook Elementary School, where he killed 20 first-graders and six educators.

The bank that held the mortgage turned over the house to the town of Newtown at no cost.

The Newtown Legislative Council voted in January to tear down the house, which was assessed at $368,540 in 2012, according to town property records.
