Overnight Bridge Work Set For I-95 Northbound In Darien All Week

DARIEN, Conn. -- Bridge maintenance work will be performed overnight this week along Interstate 95 northbound in Darien, causing some lane closures, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced on its website. 

The project consists of asphaltic plug joint repairs to the I-95 northbound bridge over Route 1/Boston Post Road and the I-95 northbound bridge over Route 136/Tokeneke Road in Darien.

This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, Oct. 28, to the morning of Friday, Nov. 1. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday through Thursday evenings.

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 northbound between Exit 11 for Route 1/Boston Post Road to Exit 13 for Route 1/Boston Post Road in Darien. 

Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. 

The scheduled could be changed or extended due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
