Thunderstorms Are Headed To Darien For Friday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The forecast for Fairfield County from the National Weather Service is predicting a wild Friday with thunderstorms, but with a comfortable weekend ahead.

Friday will be warm with the daytime high reaching 72 degrees. But as the day goes on, the chance for storms will increase to about 80 percent. Rain totals could be a tenth to a quarter of an inch.

As for the weekend, once the rain and clouds clear out late Friday, the forecast calls for more sun and cooler temps on Saturday and Sunday.

Daytime highs will reach 61 degrees on Saturday and 65 degrees on Sunday, with nighttime lows hitting 42 on Saturday and 48 on Sunday.

Columbus Day looks to be sunny and warm, with highs hitting 69 degrees.
