The box truck hit the clearance sign on the bridge — no vehicle over 11 feet, 2 inches can fit through the very urban underpass near the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.

No injuries were reported, but traffic was jammed in both directions due to the accident and nearby construction. Metro-North reported no train delays through the area.

Drivers should avoid the area. It was not clear when the scene would be cleared.

Norwalk police officers also responded to a report of a car near thew water on Seaview Avenue near First Street, the department said via Twitter.

Officers are on the scene and urging drivers to use caution in the area. No injuries were reported in that crash. (See the fourth photo above of that crash.)
