Train Service Returns To Metro-North's New Canaan Branch

2 p.m. update: NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Normal train service has resumed on the New Canaan Branch on Monday afternoon, Metro-North announced. 

Regular New Canaan Branch train service resumed with the 1:59 p.m. train departing Stamford for New Canaan.

1 p.m. update: NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Substitute bus service is running instead of trains on the New Canaan Branch on Monday morning due to circuit problems in the vicinity of Glenbrook, Metro-North announced. 

Buses are running in place of trains for:

  • the 1:26 p.m. train departing New Canaan making all stops to Stamford.
  • the 12:26 p.m. train departing New Canaan making all stops to Stamford.
  • the 11:59 a.m. train departing Stamford making all stops to New Canaan.
  • the 11:26 a.m. train departing New Canaan making all stops to Stamford.
  • the 10:59 a.m. train departing Stamford and making all stops to New Canaan
  • the 10:26 a.m. train departing New Canaan making all stops to Stamford.

Riders should listen for announcements at the stations for service changes and boarding information.
