DARIEN, Conn. – Darien’s latest unemployment rate and the state’s strong test scores led Darien’s news this week. Here are some of the top stories from the past week in Darien:

Darien’s unemployment rate dropped a tenth of a percent for the second straight month in July, according to numbers released by the Department of Labor this week.

The results of this year’s ACT exams were made public this week, and Connecticut students beat the national average in all four subjects.
