DARIEN, Conn. – This weekend, Darien will host fundraisers for cancer patients, the Depot and to send children to summer camp. Here’s a list of the events happening in Darien this weekend.

Friday, June 22

Zumba Pizza Party : 5 to 6:30 p.m. Zumba class for kids ages 5 to 9 is followed by a pizza party. The cost is $20 for the evening. Darien Community Association, 274 Middlesex Road.

“Carnage” screening : 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. The movie tells the story of the parents of a child bully who meet with the parents of the victim. Rated R. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.

Saturday, June 23

Cancer Fundraiser : 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cancer survivor Jamie Buchanan will be selling her artwork at the Darien Sport Shop to benefit the Susan Cancer Fund of Fairfield County. Darien Sport Shop, 1127 Post Road.

Charity Skate : 1 p.m. The Darien Winter Club will hold its annual Charity Skate at the Terry Conners Rink in Stamford. Proceeds will go to Person-to-Person’s Campership Program, which sends Stamford children from low-income families to summer camp. Terry Conners Rink, 1125 Cove Road, Stamford.

Summer Sets : 6 to 10 p.m. The Depot hosts DJ Zuto, DJ Dirvo and DJ Ryan Algeri for a night of music for high school students. Tickets are $10, with all proceeds going to the Depot. The Depot, 25 Heights Road.

Sunday, June 24

Democrats Summer Cooler : 4:30 to 7 p.m. The Darien Democratic Town Committee invites you to the home of MaryEllen and Scott Moore to mingle with Democratic candidates for town office and elected officials from Darien, Hartford and Washington. Connecticut First Lady Cathy Malloy will be the guest speaker. Cost is $50 per person, RSVP to MaryEllen Moore at maryellen7@optonline.net . 23 Red Coat Pass, Darien.
