STRATFORD, Conn. - Consuelo M. "Connie" Donohue Browne of Stratford, formerly of Darien, died April 10. She was 72.
Browne was born May 28, 1940, daughter of Anthony J. and Marguerite Reilly Donohue. She was raised in Merion and Paoli, Pa., she attended Merion-Mercy Academy and Trinity college in Washington, DC. In 1961. She started her career with IBM in Philadelphia. During her years with IBM, she lived in Virginia, Maryland, New York, and finally, Connecticut. She was a member of the Savoy Company in Philadelphia, appearing in its annual Gilbert & Sullivan productions. She also participated in local church choral groups and in locally produced operas.
Browne was predeceased by her parents; sister, Donna Marie; her first husband, Furman South; and her second husband, William V. Browne.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 2 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Services have been entrusted to the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home Preplanning and Cremation Services , of Fairfield Center.
