Racaniello was born July 31, 1918, in Greenwich, to Francis and Catherine (Talar) Stepien. She graduated from Port Chester High School in Port Chester, N.Y. She was a member of St. John's Church Women's Guild.
Racaniello is survived by her daughter, Kathleen R. Hill (Jim) of Palm Harbor, Fla.; son, John E. Racaniello of Norwalk; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Karen Racaniello of Darien. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Victor J. Racaniello, Sr.; son, Victor J. Racaniello, Jr.; brother, Edward Stepien; and sister, Julia Wasicki.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
