NORWALK, Conn. – Irene Svidro, 88, of Norwalk, died Sunday, March 15.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1926, in Norwalk, to John P. and Mary Liptak Soltesz.
Svidro retired from Beiersdorf USA, where she had been payroll administrator.
She was very involved with St. Ladislaus Church for many years, and was also a member and past president of the Columbiettes.
Survivors include two sons, John (Gail) Svidro of Fairfield, and Allan (companion Hillary Levine) of Darien; two daughters, Jane Croswell of Naugatuck, and Jean (Jack) O’Neil of Bethel; one brother, John Soltesz; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Her husband, John L. Svidro; and one sister, Mary Soltesz, are deceased.
Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Magner Funeral Home , 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Ladislaus Church, 25 Cliff St., Norwalk.
Burial will follow in the St. John Cemetery.
