DARIEN, Conn. - Judith M. Foley, a resident of Darien, died Thursday, Dec. 18. She was 71.
Foley was born Oct. 26, 1943, in New York City, to Daniel and Katherine (Duke) Collins. She graduated from St. Vincent Ferrer High School in 1961 and from Hunter College in 1965. She was a teacher at St. Thomas More Happiness Preschool. She was a member of the Darien Book Aid Plan and the New York Botanical Garden.
Foley is survived by her husband, Thomas Foley of Darien; son, John Foley of New York; and sister, Rosanne Van Hoek of Queens, N.Y. She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Daniel Collins.
Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23 at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien. Burial will be private.
