Judith Lummis Angstadt, 84, Former Darien Resident

JACKSON, Wyo. - Judith Lummis Angstadt, of Jackson, former longtime resident of Darien,, Conn., died Oct. 12. She was 84.

Angstadt graduated from Grier Boarding School and Hollins College. She worked as a secretary at the General Electric Company. She was a member of the Wee Burn Country Club, active in the Garden Club of Darien and the Lockwood-Matthew Mansion, volunteered in Darien schools and served on the St. Luke's Altar Guild.

Angstadt is survived by her children, John (Patty) Lummis of Pembroke, Bermuda and Jackson, Judy (Bill) McGinnis of Atlanta, Ga., David (Karen) Lummis of Weston, Conn., and Liz (Tom) O'Neil of Oakland, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, John Milton Lummis, Jr. and Earle Angstadt, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Saint Luke's Parish, 1864 Post Road, Darien.
