DARIEN, Conn. Mary K. Balentine, a longtime resident of Darien, died Aug. 12 at Norwalk Hospital with family by her side. She was 87.
Born May 24, 1925, in Philadelphia, Balentine was the daughter of John and Maude Andrews. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, William R. Balentine.
She is survived by a son, Keith W. Balentine, of Darien; two daughters, Kathleen Balentine (Tom) Gunn, of Darien, and Jan M. (John) Mello, of Westport; and eight grandchildren. She also was predeceased by a son, Jack W. Balentine.
Funeral services will be held privately. Bosak Funeral Home in Stamford is in charge of the arrangements.
