DARIEN, Conn. – Mary Delia, longtime Darien resident, died Saturday, Jan. 9. She was 88.
She was a resident of Autumn Lake Healthcare of Norwalk for four years where she loved playing bingo and card games.
Born at her home in Darien Sept. 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Bernardino and Josephine Petrucelli Alicandro. She was a graduate of Darien High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Price; two sisters Ida Henry and Lee Heitz (Arnie); brother Richard Alicandro (Carole); sister-in-law Lee Alicandro; brother-in-law Joseph Delia; many nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law Terry Delia of Arizona; twin granddaughters; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Delia Sr.; son Frank Delia; an infant son; and six siblings.
A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk Tuesday at 11 a.m.
