DARIEN, Conn. - Michael A. FitzMaurice of Darien died Dec. 16. He was 61.
FitzMaurice was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Stamford, to Bill and Mimi Rich FitzMaurice. He attended Christ the King Prep School in Southport, and graduated from Stamford High School. He received a degree in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
FitzMaurice is survived by his wife, Ann; children; brother, Tom (Cindy) of Emmaus, Pa.; sister, Taffy (Chris) Powderly, of Southbury; in-laws, Jean and Al Metayer of Darien; brother-in-law, Tom (Charlene) Metayer of Branford; sister-in-law, Mary Lynn (Marc) Raggenbass of Zollikon, Switzerland; nephews and nieces; many aunts, uncles; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at St. John Church, Darien.
