Pauline C. Bauder, 94, Longtime Darien Resident, Homemaker

DARIEN, Conn. - Pauline C. Bauder, a resident of Darien for more than 50 years, died Tuesday, Dec. 17. She was 94.

Bauder was born June 18, 1919, in Bethlehem, Pa.; daughter of James and Lucy (Flecksteiner) Cunningham. She moved to Darien in the 1950s. A homemaker, she was a member of the Darien Community Association, and worked in the DCA's thrift shop. She was a longtime volunteer for the 60 Plus Club, and was a volunteer for the Town of Darien. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Thomas More Church.

Bauder is survived by children, Thomas Bauder of Fairfield, Donald Bauder of Westfield, Ind., Jane Reinecke of Guilford and David Bauder of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Burton E. Bauder.

Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at St. Thomas More Church. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
