DARIEN, Conn. - Peter Griffith Hanley, a resident of Darien for the last five years and a former 30-year resident of Atlanta, Ga., died Wednesday, April 24. He was 60.
Hanley was born Sept. 18, 1952, in Stamford, son of Jack and Judith Jones Hanley of Darien, he was raised in Darien. He graduated from St. Luke's School in New Canaan and from Marietta College. He was a long time Little League volunteer in the Atlanta area.
Hanley is survived by his parents; his former wife, Belinda Hanley of Roswell, Ga.; children, Steven J. Hanley of Acworth, Ga., and Jessica A. Hanley of Woodstock, Ga.; a grandson; and a sister, Carol Forlenzo of Darien.
Calling hours are Sunday, April 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A service will be held Monday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Denise Trogdon of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Darien. Interment will be private.
