DARIEN, Conn. - Phillip Frank Forlenzo of Darien died Wednesday, May 8. He was 77.
Forlenzo was born Oct. 7, 1935, and was a resident of Darien for more than 40 years. After attending high school, he drove tractor trailers and later drove tri-axle dump trucks. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Locals 191 and 443.
Forlenzo is survived by his wife, Marie Glionna Forlenzo of Darien; sons, Chris Forlenzo of Milford and Mark Forlenzo of Newtown; daughters, Donna Savage of Wilton, Susan Forlenzo Dwyer of Colorado; sisters, Rose Verrastro and Mary Pelluci of Stamford; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Phillip Frank Forlenzo Jr.; and daughter, Lisa Forlenzo Schulke.
Calling hours will be held Monday May 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien CT 06820. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 at St John's RC Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Darien.
