DARIEN, Conn. - Richard "Ricky" Harrison Humes III of Darien died Dec. 17. He was 67.
Humes was born Oct. 21, 1946, in Latrobe, Pa., to Richard Harrison Humes Jr. and Kathryn Nagy Humes. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He moved to Darien in 2005 from his home in New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
Humes is survived by his sisters, Jeanne (Art) Van Sciver of Darien and Kathryn Spetrino of Stratford; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A private family Interment will be held in Latrobe, Pa.
